Accounts, that is!

I'm following in the (very fast, she's a runner) footsteps of :iconcosplayaerith: and switching accounts. I don't really like using this name because I no longer cosplay JUST Yuna, the name is 3 years old and just no longer relevant to my costumes, stories, or artwork.

I've already gone through and deleted most of the deviations on this name and will be uploading the important ones on my new account. I left some of my IDs and a tutorial in case people still need to refer to it.

In light of this, I'm moving to a different account. Everyone that I'm watching on this account I'll watch on my new account, so watch out for me! :D If you're watching this name and have time, please watch my new account, as I will no longer be using this one for anything.

My new account can be found here: [link]

Please don't reply to this journal. I don't want to log on to this name again, so if you'd like, feel free to comment me on my new page.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your support!

Casting Call

No, don't get excited. I'm not casting real people for anything.

I'm just curious as to what would happen if certain characters of Square were played by real-life actors. Who would you cast for:

1. Reno
2. Axel
3. Roxas
4. Demyx
5. Xigbar
6. Leon (Kingdom Hearts II)
7. Balthier
8. Cloud
9. Marluxia
10. Genesis

Or anyone else! Please, I would love to hear what you think! :D

Would You Hire Me?

LUCKY ME! :D I have internet. I thought I'd be out for another week, maybe longer, but I guess I got lucky.

I'm thinking about commissioning myself to do cosplay costumes. I've offered my services to several people in the past who turned me down (due to lack of cash flow, understandable), and a few for free.

Unfortunately I can no longer offer my services for free, as one too many people have taken advantage of this. Too often have I sunk myself into making a costume, buying the wig, materials, etc., only to find out on my own that the other person doesn't want to wear/can't wear the costume anymore. I'm sorry - I used to be okay with doing this, but I can't afford it anymore.

I like to think my own costumes are pretty detailed, and I know I'd be able to put that same effort into a costume for another. My plan is to charge an initial deposit of $30, which will go towards supplies and whatnot, then the rest would be calculated based on the complexity, and how much time I had to put into it.

Before I decide to go into this, though, would you hire me??

Anyone Here Good with Computer Games? +EDIT

EDIT: Alright kids. I do sincerely thank all of you for your help. I don't have enough time to go thru and individually thank all of you, but without your help I wouldn't have even known where to begin. It turns out my nVidia GeForce was TOO up to date. ._. I was running version 191 and needed version 190 since both Sims games weren't compatible with 191. They really thought that one through.

On another note, I won't have internet for awhile thanks to our WONDERFUL wireless provider, but when I do come back, I'll have some pictures of my updated Fused Shadow (from my Midna) and pictures of my latest cosplay costume. :meow: Hopefully everyone will enjoy it.

Thanks again, everyone! :glomp:

------END EDIT------

I posted this question on Yahoo Answers yesterday, with no luck. I could really use some help - I have no clue what's wrong with this.

My copy of The Sims 3 won't run. I recently ran a destructive restore on my computer, and reinstalled this game (which was working perfectly before). I installed the latest DirectX drivers, and the game ran fine. I changed my in-game graphics settings and quit, but when I went to start the game again, it wouldn't run. After I click "play" from the game launcher, the screen goes black like it's going to load (though the taskbar is still visible) and it stops and takes me back to my desktop. I've tried reinstalling the Sims 3, reinstalling DirectX, and restarting my computer, and nothing works. What should I do??

Additional notes: The Sims 2 also doesn't work, but other games I have (like Spore and The Movies) work. I have an Emachine, and have installed an nVidia GeForce 8400 GPU video card.

PLEASE! I could really use any bit of advice/help.
